Seek Compact Smartphone Thermal Camera (Android, USB & iOS)

Despite its small size, the Seek Thermal Compact offers impressive capabilities. This portable and user-friendly thermal camera connects directly to both iOS and Android smartphones. For iOS devices, it requires the Apple USB-C to Lightning Adapter Cable (approx. 10cm long, Apple Part Number MUQX3ZM/A), which can be purchased from the Apple Store or authorized dealers. Android users can simply plug the camera into their device’s USB-C or micro USB port.

The Seek Thermal Compact camera is perfect for a range of applications. HVAC technicians can quickly identify temperature hotspots, electricians can detect overheating components, and building surveyors can uncover issues such as poor seals, structural defects, and moisture damage.

Although compact, the Seek Thermal camera is highly functional. It delivers high-quality thermal images with its 206 x 156-pixel detector, operates effectively up to 1000 feet, and features a 36° wide field of view along with a temperature measurement range from -40 to 330°C. This thermal imager excels in producing clear images across a broad range, aiding in the detection of hidden issues.

The Seek Thermal app, available for free on the App Store and Google Play, fully controls the camera on your device. This app allows you to capture thermal photos and videos, share your findings via text, social media, and email, and adjust colour palettes and modes, among other features. The camera is powered by your device, eliminating the need for batteries.

Smartphone Case Compatibility

In some cases, thicker smartphone cases (especially ruggedized ones) will not provide enough clearance around the connection port. To use the camera you must either remove the case or attach the camera using an extender or adapter (sold separately).

Operating System Compatibility

You will require an Android device running at least 4.3 or an iOS device running at least iOS 8.0 to use this camera and the compatible app.

Please note that the Seek Thermal UW-EAA is designed for use with smart devices with a Micro-USB running at least Android 4.3. Therefore it has not been tested but may work with many other HTC, LG, Sony Xperia and some Galaxy Tab models.
