The FLIR LS-X Law Enforcement Thermal Camera - Frame Rate: 60Hz has been optimised for the detection and monitoring of targets in a variety of light conditions, including total darkness. For a quick introduction to this product, please see the video below. 

This monocular has an identification range of up to 570m when monitoring human-shaped targets and a range of 1550m when detecting small vessels such as automobiles. It has a frame rate of 60Hz*, includes an x 4 zoom and a selection of three image polarity modes:

• White Hot: objects which emit heat (targets) are lighter than their surroundings
• Black Hot: objects which emit heat are darker than their surroundings
• InstAlert: the hottest object within a scene is presented as red. This makes detecting human life easier.

The FLIR LS-X Law Enforcement Thermal Camera's extensive range and variety of viewing modes ensure that it can be used for and adapted to a variety of environments and applications. This versatility allows it to be used effectively at all times.

Image polarity modes can be selected using the buttons located at the top of the instrument. The FLIR LS-X Law Enforcement Thermal Camera - Frame Rate: 60Hz has been ergonomically designed. It can be operated using a signal hand and may be carried in a pocket, case or the included Molle bag, ensuring that it can be accessed quickly and easily transported between worksites.

In addition to this, the FLIR LS-X Law Enforcement Thermal Camera is weather-tight and durable. It is able to survive being dropped onto a hard surface and into water.  

This simple-to-use, rugged instrument includes an enhanced resolution (640 x 480 pixel) LCD display which facilitates the user’s ability to see clearly the footage captured using the monocular. This monocular CANNOT be used to record video, although it is capable of outputting video to a PC using the analogue video connector. This makes the sharing of information and team collaboration easier.

Another feature present on the FLIR LS-X Law Enforcement Thermal Camera which has been optimised for team operations is its integrated red laser pointer. This component may be used to lead teams through challenging terrain and/or towards a target, thereby improving the efficiency of police and security operations.
