Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular – Choice of Model

Designed for professional hunters, the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular features a 400 x 300px (at 17µm) thermal detector and a fast frame rate of 50Hz. It provides fluid, sharp thermal imaging in a range of challenging conditions and at significant distances. There are three versions of the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular available which vary in regards to their detection distances and fields-of-view; please see the table below for further information.

Thermal Imaging

The Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular includes a range of thermal imaging functions intended for tailoring the thermal camera to the application, conditions or environment:

• Smooth Zoom (1-4x): offers flexibility allowing the hunter to pinpoint wildlife quickly
• Stadiametric Rangefinder: measures and displays the distance to targets with a known height in real-time, e.g., rabbits (35cm), boar (90cm), and deer (150cm)
• Picture-in-Picture Function: enlarge a specific area of the image without compromising the overall field of view
• Selectable Colour Palettes: White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Blue Hot and Red Hot
• Multiple Scene Modes: highlight the target by adapting the image, choose from Enhance, Highlight, and Natural

Ergonomic & Easy-to-Use

Simple, intuitive, silent buttons allow the user to navigate the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular’s functions easily even in complete darkness. Furthermore, support for Wi-Fi means the thermal camera can be controlled remotely via a smartphone or tablet and Guide’s App. Additionally, users can view live footage via a connected smartphone or tablet. Footage is also displayed on the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular’s full-colour, 0.4-inch, 1280 x 960px HD display.

Rugged & Stealthy Design

In addition to silent buttons, the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular includes an anti-light-leakage eyepiece and a work light that can be switched off. It also supports noiseless shutter calibration. These features work to conceal the user’s position, ensuring that the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular is a help, not a hindrance when hunting.

Furthermore, to ensure suitability for outside applications, the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular is housed in a rugged, IP66-rated casing that has been drop-tested from 1m. It is also equipped with a standard Picatinny rail and supports the addition of accessories. Users can adapt the Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular for security, night patrol, law enforcement, and search and rescue applications by connecting a laser rangefinder, lighting and/or power bank (NOT included).

The Guide TrackIR Handheld Thermal Monocular is supplied with a large-capacity 6000mAh battery that provides up to five hours of power. It includes a USB Type-C port for charging, as well as a Micro HDMI connection for video transmission.
