The FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders provide a fully integrated video analysis hardware and software solution. They can be used to transform FLIR’s thermal and HD cameras into intelligent security cameras; the FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders analyse captured video signals and send alarm notifications when security has been compromised.
There are two versions of the FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders available; each model is optimised for use with specific cameras. Furthermore, the TLK-101 P PTZ Encoder can be used for PTZ and PTZ tracking. Please see the table below for additional information.

The FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders can also be used with leading third-party cameras. Furthermore, due to the inclusion of hybrid video outputs (H.264, MPEG-4 SP and MLPEG), these encoders can be integrated into legacy and IP-based CCTV systems and are capable of streaming both analogue and IP videos. Additionally, these video analysis encoders support MTU setup for encrypted networks.
The FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders can be set up in less than five minutes and will perform automatic calibration. They can be configured and accessed remotely via any web browser, allowing the user to view footage in real-time or perform SoE playback. Clips of recorded events can be saved to the FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders’ internal memories or stored on Edge (SoE). They may also be backed up remotely.
These easy-to-use and efficient FLIR TRK-101 Analytics Encoders can be configured to accommodate the user’s requirements as they can be programmed to operate in accordance with up to five detection rules at any one time. The user is able to set the surveillance perimeter and can program the encoders to detect specific security breaches such as:
- Intrusion (regional entrance, tripwire and fence trespassing)
- Unattended baggage
- Object removal
- Stationary vehicles
- Loitering
- Camera tampering
