This lens provides exceptional magnification of far-away details and is ideal for individuals inspecting overhead power lines. When used with FLIR’s T840 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Camera, this lens (4x telephoto) offers a better size-spot ratio than a FLIR T640/T660 with a 15° lens (2x telephoto).
Please note that when used in combination with compatible FLIR T5xx and T8xx Thermal Cameras the FLIR T30095 70mm 6° Lens must be thermographically calibrated as it is not an AutoCal lens. Moreover, the FLIR T30095 70mm 6° Lens blocks a portion of the T5xx’s and T8xx’s visible cameras preventing the use of FLIR's MSX function.
Nevertheless, the FLIR T30095 70mm 6° Lens can be used to expand the scope-for-use of T5xx & T8xx Thermal Imaging Cameras, allowing the user to see smaller targets at greater distances.
