90209-0101 | 80° |
Each of the FLIR AutoCal Lenses has been optimised for a particular purpose:
- 14°, 29mm lens: a telephoto lens with a narrow field-of-view facilitating precise focus and crisp imaging of distant targets
- 24°, 17mm lens: provides a 24° x 18° FOV allowing the user to remain at a safe distance from energised equipment whilst providing a crisp focus when viewing smaller targets
- 42°, 10mm lens: this wide-angle lens provides a large FOV allowing the user to gather maximum information in a single image; this is ideal when inspecting buildings and roofs
- 80°, 5mm Lens: delivers an ultra-wide field-of-view allowing inspectors to capture large targets and/or inspect in tight spaces
These lenses can be used interchangeably and the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera will auto-calibrate to accommodate the attached lens. This ensures that the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera will deliver high-quality thermal images and precise temperature measurements irrespective of the FLIR AutoCal Lens being used.
Additionally, the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera features four selectable focus modes:
- Continuous Laser Distance Meter (LDM)
- One-Shot LDM
- One-Shot Contrast
- Manual
Thermal Imaging
In addition to an IR resolution of 640x480px, providing 307 200 measurement points, the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera has a thermal sensitivity of 30mK (at 30°C with a 42° Lens). It can measure temperatures to an accuracy of ±2°C/2% and supports the following temperature ranges:
- -20°C to +120°C
- 0°C to +650°C
- 300°C to 1500°C
Thermographers can increase the number of measurement points to 1.2 megapixels using the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s UltraMax® Enhancement function. This function captures a series of images which are combined using an UltraMax® algorithm and a suitable FLIR analysis software program. This process does not compromise radiometric data. The UltraMax® Enhancement function is particularly useful when inspecting small or distant components as it improves the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s distance-to-spot ratio.
To improve the ease with which the user can identify and pinpoint the source of faults, the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera includes an MSX® Image Enhancement function and a 5MP, fixed focus visual camera with an LED light. The MSX® Image Enhancement function overlays visible details, captured using the 5MP camera, onto thermal images to improve image depth and clarity.
The FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is also equipped with a number of imaging, measurement and reporting tools such as a 1-8x continuous digital zoom, three spotmeters (in live mode), and three area meters (in live mode). Additionally, the user can sketch onto thermal images via the 640x480px touchscreen display and can save media with a GPS tag, voice annotations, and/or on-screen text.
The user can save radiometric, IR and visual images and footage to the 8GB SD card. He/she can also stream radiometric, IR and visual footage as the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera includes a Wi-Fi interface which can be used to connect to a smartphone or tablet. The FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera also supports Bluetooth, USB and DisplayPort interfaces.
Furthermore, the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is compatible with analysis and reporting software such as FLIR Thermal Studio (included) and FLIR Thermal Studio Pro (NOT included).
METERLiNK Compatibility
The user can save data gathered using FLIR multimeters and clamps alongside thermal images and videos as the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is METERLiNK enabled. This allows it to connect with FLIR’s tools.
Ergonomic
Recalling saved files is easy due to the inclusion of a simple naming and folder structure. Also adding to the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera's ease-of-use is its intuitive user interface, practically placed menu buttons, and fast-responding touchscreen display. Moreover, its pistol-shaped design means it can be operated using a single hand.
Additionally, the FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera has an average battery life of more than 2.5 hours and has been drop tested from 3m (6.6ft).
Inspection Route Function
The FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is ideal for thermographers who inspect a lot of buildings and/or equipment regularly. This is because it includes FLIR’s Inspection Route Camera function which guides the user through a customised, pre-planned inspection route, ensuring he/she gathers images and data at specified inspection points. This function improves inspection organisation and efficiency and simplifies reporting.
Customised inspection routes are created using the Route Creator Plug-in for FLIR’s Thermal Studio Pro Software (NOT included). Thermographers can add an unlimited amount of inspection points which may be organised for maximum efficiency.
The FLIR E96 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is an adaptable, easy-to-use, high-resolution infrared-imager ideal for inspecting and troubleshooting buildings and electrical and mechanical equipment.
